Meet Your Community Liaison Leaders
Get to Know Us
Ms. Vanessa Rodriguez was a former MPUSD student and now an MPUSD parent. With years at MLK SOA, she has bridge connections between families and staff. It has been a privilege of her to be apart of the Seaside community serving both students and parents.
Mr. Drew Granado is a Central Valley native who has built a place and home here in the Monterey Peninsula. After a year of serving the MLK students, he is excited to support the families as well.
We Support Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. School of the Arts Families With These Services
- With guidance on improving daily attendance for students (truancy)
- Accessing communication platforms like ParentSquare & ParentVue
- With engagement opportunities such as: Family support workshops, School Site Council (SSC), English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC), Open House, etc.
- By connecting them to school & community resources for those experiencing homelessness
- School and community resources
- Follow-ups with students who are facing challenges at school. (ex: new students, peer interactions, students wellness, etc.)
